The first thing you should take into account is sunlight. The headset, especially the lenses and the screen, may suffer permanent damage if it is directly exposed to sunlight for less than a minute.
What can you do? It’s very simple! Do not leave the Quest device in places exposed to direct sunlight, such as tables, shelves, gardens, windowsills, parks, and others.
Also, do not use the Oculus Quest outdoors or leave it in the bathroom; if you need to take the device to another place, use a bag or case that protects it from direct sunlight and moisture, respectively.
Besides, do not use sharp objects near it, such as cable ends or keys, so you will not scratch the lenses or the screen. You should also be careful when adjusting the headset and tightening the straps, otherwise you can damage the device and its entire body

Keep your Oculus Quest in good working order
Can’t find the charger? Do you think you can use any other? The answer is no! If you want the Quest to work properly, you should only use the charger that is included in the package; besides, you should avoid charging it while it is in use.
The charging cable must be correctly connected to the headset. If you are not sure, unplug the charging cable from the Quest and the power supply, and plug it back in.
Also make sure that the LED light on the side of the headset turns on while charging. If it does not light up in orange or green, the Oculus Quest is not charging correctly.

How can I clean my Oculus Quest?
It is important that you take care of the device and clean it frequently. Do not forget that natural wear and physical damage are not covered by the warranty. So below we will explain the safest way to clean the Oculus Quest:
Start by cleaning the outside of the headset, but do not use any type of chemical or alcohol. Even though alcohol is safe for electronics, it will actually damage the plastic body of the device, and it’s also bad for the foam faceplate.
Use a microfiber cloth and cleaning wipes, you can use baby wipes, which did not contain alcohol. You will also need a small bowl of water, non-abrasive and non-concentrated dish soap, a washcloth and a towel.
So, the first thing you are going to do is take the microfiber cloth and gently clean the four sensors from the inside out, two at the top and two at the bottom. This will clean cream residue, finger oils, dead skin and dust.
Then, use the same cloth and clean the entire Oculus Quest body, if there is a spot or you just want to polish it, you can use the cleaning wipes. Just be careful, do not clean the sensors with them.
Now, the straps! Take another cleaning wipe and gently clean all the straps. Do not forget the sides that connect to the Quest body. Take the microfiber cloth again and wipe the lenses in circular movements. Don’t use the cleaning wipes or any soap. You can damage the coating!
Besides, the only thing that comes into contact with the lenses is the skin or the hair; you just try to remove the oils and dust. Now you have to clean the foam faceplate.
This area collects sweat, so it is very important to keep it clean. Remove the foam faceplate from the Oculus Quest body and start cleaning at three specific points: the nose and both sides of the top of the foam faceplate.
To clean it, use some non-abrasive and non-concentrated liquid dish soap. Take the bowl of water and add a few drops of soap, agitate and stir the water. Take a washcloth and wet it with the soap mixture, then clean the entire foam faceplate.
Use a towel to clean the excess water and then leave it in a safe place to air dry. When it’s totally dry, reattach it to the Quest. Finally, the controllers; take another wipe and clean them. That’s it!
